We went to a pretty great program last night at Lowpost, the new bar and performance space that’s just opened beneath Habana Outpost.  It’ll be open year round, so we can all drink off the grid, even when it’s cold outside.

Irondale Center Opening Party This Saturday

The New Irondale Center space

The new Irondale Center, to be located in the old (and quite grand) Sunday School room of the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, is having an opening party this Saturday, Oct 11, from 1pm-10pm.  There will be entertainment and beer from Brooklyn Brewery.  The center will produce theater performances and provide educational outreach to the community.  Looks to us like a fantastic addition to the hood.
